Happy New Year!
2011 was a great year at JoeyMRobinson.com. Last winter we crossed the Pond and visited Scandinavia, Germany and The Netherlands, touring museums and galleries, painting, and interviewing artists and tastemakers in the interior design industry. In the Spring we partnered with the Bartholomew winery in Seattle to exhibit Movement 2011, a great show and a great success for Bartholomew’s fine offerings. On a pretty spring day, friends, patrons and connoisseurs enjoyed the sun that we often miss here in the Pacific Northwest. In the Summer the Joey M. Robinson Studio hosted international artist Albert George DeCruynaere from Alberta, Canada in a very successful one man show that has Seattle wanting more. We also had a chance to launch an up and coming photographer Holly Seeber, who recently graduated from The Art Institute of Seattle, my alma mater. She is now pursuing her career in Tucson. In October I donated 15 new Black Maid Tribute pieces to Some One Cares Atlanta, an organization that helps people with HIV/AIDS and reconnected with friends in the Atlanta area. This year we are starting off with the continuing celebration of Black Maid Tribute for Black History Month in February and in May I will exhibit with California artist Michael Madden (Neighborhoods, 2007). Also coming in 2012, a new website, complementary to JoeyMRobinson.com, that will venture into interior design, fashion and the culinary arts, with features, stories and interviews. Stay tuned! I am excited about new things to come.
Love,
Contact Joey
